Research Focus
Organic Synthesis, Electrochromism, Metal-Organic Frameworks, Chemical Sensors, Sustainable Chemistry
The Sustainable Technologies and Emerging Materials (STEM) Laboratory focuses on developing sustainable chemical technologies through the integration of organic synthesis, biomass valorization, catalysis, chemical sensing, and functional materials science.
Specifically, we aim to:
1. Develop catalytic strategies for converting biomass-derived feedstocks into value-added chemicals and functional molecular building blocks;
2. Design and synthesize biomass-derived organic molecules as sustainable materials for applications in electrochromic devices and low-energy display technologies;
3. Develop porous materials, particularly metal–organic frameworks, for catalysis, chemical sensing, and selective resource recovery.
